An aggressive producer in northwestern Alberta rented some steel mesh filter units. Upon bringing the wells into production, the high production rates of liquid, gas & wax caused the screens to collapse and fail. The producer was forced to try and operate the vessels without a filter element in order to try and produce their wells safely and efficiently.
After experiencing significant equipment failure and erosion due to sand downstream of their modified filter vessels, they called Specialized Desanders for a better solution.
Specialized Desanders provided the producer with Gravity Desanders to replace their current units. The patented Gravity Desander design is engineered to remove sand from each well and operates with NO BAGS, FILTERS or PRESSURE DROP. Our Desanders allowed the producer to flow the wells safely, regardless of the composition of the well production and capture ALL the sand.
