In spirit of the giving season, Specialized Desanders employees at our head office held a food bank drive for the Veteran’s Food Bank of Calgary. A wish list was posted for employees to pick up grocery and home items for and thanks to generous efforts, a full carload was collected including $600 in cash donations.
The Veterans Food Bank of Calgary serves as more than a food bank, our goal is to help Veterans of Canada and Allied forces to reintegrate with civilian culture by providing food hampers, social care, social resources such as resume and job hunting tips, clothing, and a social space to engage with other veterans.
